Since its inception in 1935, the Seventh District has been one of the great standard bearers in the fraternity and home to many firsts in our illustrious brotherhood. On the evening of November 17, 1911, Omega Psi Phi was founded inside the Science Building (later renamed Thirkield Hall) at Howard University located in Washington, D.C. is the first international fraternal organization founded on the campus of a historically black college. I am honored to serve as the 25th Seventh District Representative comprising the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi.

The State of Mississippi Organization’s vision is to uplift a brotherhood of men that can sustain its integrity in this ever-changing world that will bring Mississippi to the forefront of innovation with service and dedication by effective leadership. The goals will be achieved by cultivating change by improving information technology throughout the state maintaining integrity by being more visible in the community to allow them to know that we are there and willing to serve, and to maintain our integrity in being the first to confront health issues that are plaguing our society all while building brotherhood that will continue to reclaim and retain brothers for them to see the reason they first joined our great fraternity. With the 19 th State Representative and council, the State of Mississippi Organization seeks to cultivate change, maintain integrity, and build brotherhood under this administration. The State of Mississippi Organization’s target programs focus on mental health and our brotherhood’s continuous growth, which currently stands at 834 strong members. With 21 graduate chapters and nine undergraduate chapters, we seek to build relationships through our target programs with those in the communities we serve. Walking in the footsteps of our illustrious founders, the State of Mississippi Organization is paving new tracks in service to the communities within the state. The Brothers of Mississippi stand on the shoulders of those that have come before to make Mississippi a pillar in the Mighty 7 th District. Today, Omega Psi Phi has over 750 undergraduate and graduate chapters, making it one of the largest fraternities in the.
The group is historically African American and was the first Greek organization founded at a historically black university. As State Representative, it is my honor to serve the home state of our current Grand Basileus, Dr. Omega Psi Phi is a fraternity that was founded on November 17,1911 by three Howard University juniors.
